Heroes

Le Corbusier declared that the home was a machine for living, and Marinetti, the Italian Futurist said that a poem is a machine. Sergei Eisenstein became convinced that cinema could manipulate time and space to create new meanings, especially so if the image were not simply linked, as Kuleshov suggested, but juxtaposed.
All of these great minds (and many more) have directly influenced me - how could they not? They are indeed my "heroes" in that they achieved great levels of success in their fields. These are shared with you, the guest to www.steveholland.com, in order to provide additional insight into who I am. This list is by no means inclusive or presented in any order.
